GSE will be September 15-17 2006.

Hopefullly this will eliminate the many conflicts we have had with GSW in the last few years and people will be able to attend both events.

More info to follow.

Hell my shits going to be done by June!

I know it looks like there's a long way to go on the project, but as long as all the parts are here, with the friends I've got and access to tools I don't own, it'll definitely get done.

243 miles - date kinda sucks for me cuz my 13 year old son will be back to school & i'd hate to wheel without him... he never misses a trip

chuck, heard from tom lately? - since he cut off his pony tail, new job, new girlfriend and a little one on the way, he dropped off the face of the planet -

Come, I'll be making my dad drive the buggy and doing my best to get him to roll it

And we're probably towing there with the WK. Both are inherently stupid things to do, so it should be funny :funny:

Gore, Va? Funny coincidence (given that it's barely a piss spot in the middle of nowhere) my brother lives there. Maybe I'll do a road trip this year (did it once before, it's like 2400 miles, yikes)

Gore shouldn't be more than 45 mins from you, it's only 15 mins outside of Winchester.

Winchester is only 30 miles from the SLeezburg...

On the serious side though, who is 99.9% definitely attending? I've already scheduled off, as did my dad, so we're making an appearance unless something drastic happens.

It'd be GREAT to see this get as much attention as it used to. It seemed that a lot of us broke our vehicles at the same time and just couldn't attend for a couple of years. There's a few local ZJers around here that aren't on this forum, I'm hoping to talk them into coming as well.

Used to only have the BB,,,put in some longer springs last year,,so yes it now even looks a little lifted,,,even have 31's

need to edit that sig block,,,even have a 231 now,,,and trying to get the time to put the new "custom" rear bumper on,,,,traveling for work and the reserves is killing my wheeling and work'n on the yeep time.

Looks like 301.47 miles for me...
only about 6 hours, but the wife's parents live only 1 hour further down the road... (Woodbridge, VA).
I could probably talk her into it.
I've never been to one though, and not being lifted yet...:shake:

bruce

Do not worry about not being lifted yet,,,I like leading the stock guys,,,need more guys without 3inch lifts to run the stock trails

I've got my bullbar though!! That has to count for something, right?
(I know, I know... I'm just a poser)
I do have the 8.8 and D44 sitting in my garage waiting though. I just need to learn how to weld!

I see a lot of folks with stock vehicles posting up.. Is this event geared toward milder wheeling or are there hard trails there too?

OverkillZJ
07-05-2006, 08:33 PM
There are hard trails there, dont' know what will be run?

bruce
07-06-2006, 08:15 AM
The trails will be at 3 levels Stock, Intermediate, and Advanced, as in the past. I even have wind that Clayton may show back this year,,,maybe we can get him to lead the advanced trails.

Guys, Looks like I'm out of this one...
We just found out that my wife has Leukemia and she is in Roswell Park Cancer Institute right now getting Chemotherapy to treat it...
She will have to have a transplant and will be in and out of the hospital for the next year. I'm the only one who can take care of her and our daughter, and they come first.
I will definately try to make one in the future, I just can't be 6-7 hours away right now (or in the near forseeable future).
