yeah so i was in a hurry yesterday and decided to weld a shock mount on wearing mechanics gloves.. well a big glob of weld fell in the cuff and i ended up with about and inch long 3rd degree burn just below the thumb. hurt like hell and i can hardly do anything with my right hand now... wear real welding gloves....lesson learned..trey

Ouch!

I got some kangaroo leather gloves.. they let me keep them when I turned in my gear from the fire dept (had to quit when I moved out to school :()

I hate wearing gloves when welding, but you gotta do it. Hope your shit heals up :D

Mechanix gloves melt really easily too....

I'll use em if I'm welding something that's flat on my table, but out of position - welding gloves are a must.

I'll say I wear mine all the time, but I'd be lying. Some of you know what a prime example of safety I am ;)
