my 97 grand has this loud hissing out of the throttle body. Its not coming out of the hoses and there is no air leak around the intake.
The noise comes and goes and not there everyday. But when its there its very loud and on deceleration and is gone when the throttle is pushed. Any help on this issue and why is now starting to show up and happen.

Did you check for a vacuum leak by spraying carb cleaner around all the connections and hoses, and where the intake manifold bolts to the block??

WD40 works too.

pull the throttle body off. (15 min )

clean it out. that always makes mine run better. then replace the gasket. It could also be your intake hoze. i knwo mine doesn't seal that well aroudn the throttle body.

Sounds just like the IAC motor opening to keep the motor from stalling
