We were planning to leave on a thursday night but if anyone wants to meet us up there that is fine too.
Jeepin Hank and I were talking about a run to Tellico in oct. but I just have too many things going on in oct. :toimonst:
OverkillZJ do you know of an airport close to Paragon? As my wife may need to meet me there.

I don't think there's one closer than a couple hours to there, but I could be wrong. Pittsburghs the closes "hub" airport that you'd get cheap air fair to anyway, and we're a good 4-5 hours away.

Puma - You're welcome to join us.

I hope to make it out to wheel SOMEPLACE other than UNF this season.
Let me know when you're heading up to Tellico. I'd love to make it up there as well.

Matt - You want us to meet you someplace to pick you up?? :smt003
Haven't wheeled with you since GSE `02. IIRC - You were on Clayton's LAs and 31's, and beating the pure snot out of that AL 44. :snakeman:

I might be game for that, depends on school, I won't know til' closer to the date.

Me? Beat the piss out of my rig? Nawhhhhhhhhhhhhh :weedman:

Amazing, I never blew the al44, but I blew four 44 shafts and the R&P. That was before the superiors though.

Philadelphia International Airport is less than 2 hours away - the Hazleton Municipal Airport i mentioned above is 10 minutes away if you can get a flight there for a reasonable rate

Newark Internationl Airport (northern NJ) is a little over 2 hours away from paragon - this is a major hub on the east coast and is usually cheaper than flying into philly

LMAO! I actually forgot philly existed. I'm not a NJ or Philly fan so I guess I pushed them out of my memory... MY BAD!

Still working on it getting up there and I need to fix my XJ first, started overheating and exhaust is getting extremely hot. Swapped ZJ rear disks into it and now I have no brake pedal, need to replace a rear caliper and a front one also.

spring time could be (if funds allow) the phoenix buggies test run. Paragon would be a good place :supz:

JeepinHank and I were talking about a possible UNF run November 19-20. I would love to do a Tellico run but I don't think I'll have the funds for it this year.

Uwharrie closes for the winter months... It officially closes December 15th and won't re-open until March 15th. We're making our annual freeze-your-balls-off run on December 11th.

T-man - It's looking like my boss lady won't be joining us, so I might have an open seat as well.

If I'm not mistaken, Elon is in the Burlington area right?

If so, you're probably looking at around a 1.5 hour drive.

If you guys are still heading over to UNF in Nov. I'd love to go. I've only been to UNF once before and it was dark. I'd love to actually see where I'm going and maybe to learn the trails since it's so close by. I'm also in Fayetteville.

Sounds good. Is it ok if we meet up in town and ride up together? I might be able to pick up a Trojan too if time permits.

This Sunday me and some buddies close by are gonna mess around just off base a little. A friend of a friend got brand new truck that we're gonna break in. If you wanna come along for that, it's cool. I was able to find some pretty cool obstacles once or twice, but without GPS it's pretty tough to find most of them.

I definately forgot to come back and check this thread. I live on campus at nc state, if you want to see where mapquest the intersection of dan allen and sullivan dr, raleigh nc, 27607 I'd appreciate the ride. If anybody's going after thanksgiving (uwharrie) I might be able to take my heep out there.

Yeah I know where that dealership is. I go there to get new spedo gears when ever I change gears/tires/what ever. Pick a time, I must warn you that I'm not much of a morning person.

Trojan, is there any way you can get to Fayetteville? Then we can just leave from here. Where's your jeep? I think Charlotte is REAL close to Troy right?

Well we still need to work out a time to leave. I bored out of my mind right now here in Charlotte this week.

I'm going to talk to JeepinHank tomorrow, I would like to leave early so we could set up camp and get an unloaded run in. But we can work things out, right now I'm in Charlotte, but I will be back in Fayetteville tomorrow.
I will post after I get off the phone with JeepinHank.

Right now, the plan is to leave out at around 9:30 Saturday AM. Rob and I are meeting up in Raeford and leaving out from there. The route will pretty much up Hwy 211, to Candor, and hit 220, to 24/27, to 109. No idea on the camping location as of right now, but we'll try to get that worked out tonight. I'll post up a location as soon as I've got it figured out. We'll pretty much set up camp and hit the trails as soon as we're unpacked.

If anyone will be meeting up with us, We'll start out on CB Channel 15 and switch to channels 25, 40, and 1 (in that order) if a particular channel is full of traffic. Holler for JeepinHank or Rob.

We'll probably wheel all day Saturday, make a couple of night runs that night, and hit the trails again till around noon on Sunday.

Peace out!

JH

Yeah it was pretty good. Nothing broke really. Thanks for planning the run. The next day me and RobLJ went on almost every mile of the other trails. There are some pretty cool obstacles here and there to get great flex shots. Thanks again.
