Just wondering if maybe advanced adapters has anything for mating this popular transmission to a transfer case. I love manuals but the nv3550 or 3500 (i forget which one) is kinda weak for what I will have.

lemme know! :prayer:

the only way to mount a T-56 to a transfer case would be to use a divorced transfer case, like an NP-205, and build a ton of custom mounts. the T-56 isnt made to support the weight of a transfer case. Although if you have 5 grand to spend i can give you the name of a guy who can build a custom T-56 housing which would mate up to a transfer case, and support it as well.

you may try an NV4500, those things can be built up tough as nails.

just in case someone didnt know, a divorced transfer case is a case which is not bolted to the transmission, there is a small driveshaft in between that connects them.

it looks like this..
