View Full Version : My Flipped And Twin Sticked D300 T-Case

Well,

The chain in my NP231 is gettign very sloppy. Considering its been 2.5 years of wheelin on it, i think i'm due for an upgrade.

I had a machine shop make up the flip kit major components required for the flip.

Then i got to work on the t-case. I not going to write a novel on the teardown and rebuild because there are tons of good write-ups out there.

So there go's the flip kit install.

with the rear output fork flited upside down you can botl on the shifter rail

Then install the o-rings.

then measure and redrill for your set screws.

install the detent housing and your shifter rails

Set screws. (MAKE SURE TO USE LOC TIGHT!!!!)

Install the detent screws in the top with pipe plugs and the factory spring. then install your cover.

I installed a sight tube so i can always see what the fuild level is at.

i designed the clockign ring today i'l send it out to the machine shop tomorrow.

I'm also goign to post the D300 flip kit plans and clockign ring plans in autocad and PDF format in the Write-up section

Why not go with AN fittings on the site tube ? If it was me, Id clamp that hose and not rely on barb fittings under the pressures that can build.

i can't stop building things and or designing stuff. I'ts a hobbby. oh and i'm a rpoject manager for a custom steel fab company.

hmm well i have to get price quotes on the flip kit frmother places right now if i want anymore done iot woudl cost me almost 900 just for the aluminum and machening. way to high, shoudl be around 400. i'l let you know.

thanks, theres a guy around me that put a flipped 300 in his toy w/ a toy case in front. but he isnt interested in doing it for me. not that i wouldnt really like to learn how. i dont know a whole lot about cases - not enough to rip them apart and all that.

the 300 isn't in yet. but the drawings and plans are done. i'm waiting for Matt to host them on the MC server for me. i beleive he has the files just no time to upload them.
