I have been wanting to try out Carnage for a while now, and have heard rumor it might be closed soon. Anyone interested?

We could meet at the McDonald's on 28th (where Crossroads Mall used to be) in Boulder (time to be determined).

XLSLC and I are going to try to do it Saturday morning early. I just got a PM from him, sounds like there's a meeting that day to discuss the fate of the whole Lefthand/Carnage OHV area. Like I say, I've never run it, and I'd hate to have it close before I get the chance!!

Sounds good, zjmike4! I'll try to touch base with everyone Friday evening, so check your PM's and this thread. A TJ will be joining us too. . .so far our group is 4-5 vehicles.

If anyone has a digital video camera, bring it - sounds like there are some fun obstacles! :smt023

There are many ways to go in carnage. Hit up CO4x4 and land use. (http://www.colorado4x4.org/vbb/showthread.php?t=34076) There is a decent thread with pics of the routes. There are great lines to take, and easier ones. I just got my ZJ on 31s though, but it took 3 hours in the dark. Such an awesome trail. Have fun bring spares.

It was fun! A long day. Rocks were slick with the rain and I snapped a tie rod on a rock I didn't see. Good thing I had a spare.

So you put the bent one back on? Sorry I didn't make it.. technical difficulties with my alarm clock (my cell phone) falling under my bed and not waking up till 845.

Sorry I missed you too, I had technical difficulties with my trac bar being severed from the axle.

It WAS a good trip!! Thanks for leading the way, Ken. You too, John. It was good to have some guys who know the trail get us all through. Definitely was tough in some spots!!

I'll have trip pics posted soon, maybe even a couple tonight.

It would have been good to have you along Scott, we'll have to do it again sometime. Hope you are able to get that welded up soon.
