is it welded anywhere or just for decoration?

if it's just for looks, it's doing a great job.

I thought about adding something to the long side (pass) of my D30.
I was thinking about an "I-beam" type piece along the axle tube from the pass UCA mount to the diff. Figure the driver's side tube is too short to worry about.

That plate will add some strength, but there is no reason to go past the first smaller hole in that plate when welding it to the diff (pig). Wrapping the plate around the diff is not going to add any more strength to the tubes or axle. The diff (pig) is not going to bend.

it's just bling! bling!. first good hit and it will start bending. Has no strutural integretty in design, but it's pretty.. for pretty boys? :goodman:

U cut it with a waterjet?

It may help keep that factory UCA bracket on the axle, since they have a tendancy to tear off at an alarming rate. Besides that.... LP30 MMMMMMMMM sexy :smt002

Lousy..I Just bought one ..I am going to weld it on and I will let you know how it goes.. It is made of 1/4" steel and Since I have already bent my axle and straightened it I am putting it on... to keep it straight..

I know I need stronger axles but I am not ready for that now.. I am looking for a CCUV to get the axles off of but till I find one I will wait and keep the HP 30 going... :smt003
