View Full Version : Found a pretty good source for B7 hardened threaded rod:

Hey ya'll. I don't konw how it is where you live, but around here, its really hard to find strong threaded rod in any size over 1/2". If you do happen to find it, expect to pay a pretty penny.

After a lot of searching, I stumbled across these guys out of WV. Actually found them in the back of a Popular Science (or Mechanics) magazine. Their prices (even with shipping) are pretty dang good compared to what I get quoted at a place like Fastenal or the like.

The company is Blue Ridge Machine - www.blueridgemachinery.com

Its a machine shop supply company, and have a bit of everything.

My only problem is they have a minimums on the threaded rod. You have to order in 3 or 6 foot lengths. Even so - 3 feet of 1.25" 12 tpi threaded rod was cheaper than I got quoted for 2 feet locally.
