I got my alloy shafts (warns and superiors) and joints (yukon alloys) put in last week. I checked for binding of the shafts at full lock, looked pretty good but i guess i mst not have looked quite closely enough

after the first trip on them i see a few spots were the outer rubs the inner at full lock (a couple small rub marks). it must not have been much at all though since could still easily engage the steering stops so the axles were not binding up the steering all by themselves

I just threw 2 more washers behind the steering stops on each side. did you guys running alloys have to extend them out more than this? the stock axles did not rub.

btw, first time ot with the rear detroit (previously locked front, lsd rear) i just walked over everything

:finga: ok so i added 3 washers per stop

but im still having trouble checking clearance on these bishes. i checked visually, but i have a feeling the D30 shafts flex a little or something under load. does 3 sound ok?
