ok so i was thinkin bout getting some tires for the POS for offroad primarily and keep the 33" BFG for doing burnouts in highschool parking lots. :smt117 :smt117

so i was thinking bout the following, not sure what i can get away with w/o blowing axles constantly

36x13.50 IROK Bias ply

33x12.50 BAWGEERS, we would prolly groove these

36x12.50 TSL's

a little bit of everything, some mud, some hill climbs, some rawks up hills in the woods

axles are
hp30 will alloy shafts and joints
lockright locker
iron d44 with full detroit and stock shafts

BIG difference between a 33 and a 36.. I wouldn't go over 35s on a d30. But it does have alloy shafts, so you might be OK.

Go for the iroks or the TSLs.

yeah i would love some LTBs b/c they have a nice tread, soft rubber, and are like $120 ea
just wih they would make sometin a little wider. a 34x13.50 or 34x12.50 would be great

I bought a set of 34x10.5x15 LTB's (on black steels 15x8) for trail use only.

My MTR's are getting thin and I wanted to keep them through the upcoming winter.

The LTB's are a little wider then my 285/75 16's and taller. Did well on the CO rocks last weekend.

The price is right for the LTB's and I got the wheels new for $35 each.

You'll like the look of your trail tires better and eventually get tired of switching them out just to go wheeling... I know I did.

Sounded great in theory, but eventually, it becomes more of a hassle and you'll just end up running the trail tires.

they are really more like 11.5, def wider than a 10.5" bfg. I agree 12.5 would be nice, but the ltb's are a great tire for the price.

I would agree, wider then 10.5" and they were a good inch taller then 33x12.5x15 TSL's that I compared them too.

yup, switching tires out is a PITA. Obviously its not hard, but it just gets old. Find an 'all-around' good tire that can live on the street and trail and stick with it.

you refering to radial or bias tsl's? bias iirc spec larger than the ltb's by a little.

Oh, another cool tire is the Q78 TSL, not a bad price either.
