well, i figured id post some pictures and see what you guys thought. This is a copy of my post from JU

welp, i was waiting for it, and now its happened. my first major wreck, and i wasnt even in the car. I was sitting in this parking lot and this girl in a blazer t-boned the jeep. the rocker, both doors, and the rear quarter, my brand new Kolak Tailpipe may be messed up too... and both windows in the doors dont move. the rear door is also warped and wont shut right. the passenger rear wheel also has a nice chunk out of it. that entire side (including the front fender) needs replacement. it was a girl that had her permit for just 3 weeks, apparently her lights were off and she hit the jeep. after all, it is a green jeep and hard to see in the dark. I wasnt mad, and i still am not. as long as the damages are fixed ill be fine. Ill get some pics up tommorow when its light out. so you guys think the insurance will total it? should i look for a new jeep or should I fix this one.

here are some pictures

She T boned it and it did that? To me it looks like she hit the rear over the tire (driving a truck?) and slid along the whole Jeep.

cost to repair>cost to replace=total loss. However if they total it you can always buy the salvage and trun it into a rock buggy. :smt003

it will be totalled most likely. Take check. Buy it back. Take off doors and install a cage. Buy a daily driver commuter car. Wheel the piss out of ZJ.

yeah thats what it looks like but she ran straight into it, and it slid towards the rear of the jeep. her tow hook caught the bottom rocker, and so on

How does someone take out a PARKED vehicle that badly? I mean, WTF!

by going 20-30 mph without headlights on

just thought you guys might wanna know but plans for the rock buggy are out, because they decided to fix it. I got a quote from my insurance company of $3,481. I think im just gonna bolt up (or weld) some rock ratz skids in place of my rocker and then they can fix the rest.

Blazers are notorious for a bad reverse light switch in the column. I had one when I had just gotten my license, and I always had to jiggle the shifter to get the reverse lights to work.

Good luck on the repairs.... I'd check again to make sure the Unibody isn't tweaked - if it is, it'll never be right again. (at least for a highway vehicle)

i drove it about 30 miles yesterday, it almost seems like it drove better than it did before the accident

Now you're talkin'! Over the years I've come to realize getting hit is a good thing,.... because it means new parts. I have a new radiator, grill and associated parts along with a C4x4 bumper that I never would have bought with money out of my own pocket. All because an impatient stupid 21 year old in a Blazer backed into me trying to get around someone in front of him.

When it happened I was hotter than anything but now I couldn't be happier! Good luck with your repairs but next time try and get hit by someone who will take out your bumper!
