Found some Precision units which have worked fine in the past but wanted something a little beefier. I'm going with 760s in the front axle shafts but would like suggestions for the front and rear DSs. Total of 5 u-joints.

Thanks, Mike.

I run 760's in the front axles (with full circle clips and welded caps) and Tom Woods gold seals in all 6 locations in the driveshafts.

yukon d44 joints

spicer lifetime sealed (like 760's triple lip) 1310's in the driveshafts double cardan ends
spicer lubeable 1310's at the diff's

reasonig being only the lower ujoint is really going to get caked with alot of crap and be sumberged completely alot, so i can purge the lowers with grease. we will see how it works

btw i got the spicers from www.highangledriveline.com like $16 ea for the sealed 1310's and $12 for the greasables/ the 760s are like $25 IIRC

richard @ www.fullsizexjgear.com also sells any of the spicer stuff at pretty good pricing

I run the hardened bobby long 760's up front, and TW gold seal 1310's in all 4 local's of my driveshaft....ok, actually, the rear axle side is a 1330.

I haven't had any problems. Cheap, and lifetime warranty.

The tom woods gold seal seem to be holding up really well in the front d-shaft. 297s in the front axle right now but I've got spicer 760s ready to swap.

I think the favorite 1310 joint was the spicer 5-433-1x if you wanted greasable and 5-625X if you want non-greasable ( no hole drilled in the cross-shaft so it's marginally stronger).

On the wagon I've got 760s in the D44HD and I'm running NAPA 'heavy duty' joints in the driveshafts since NAPA parted ways with Spicer and they looked plenty decent but who knows...I'd have made the 150 mile round trip to get the spicers if I hadn't needed them that day...

Worth mentioning I've broke 2 of the 5-297x front joints but none of the 760s (and I've been a lot rougher on the 760s in the waggy). Also broke a 5-153X 1310 joint under light stress. Upgraded to the 5-433-1x after that on the waggy and then just switched to the NAPA ones like I mentioned above. Haven't beaten up the new joints really yet but the 433s really took a pounding all things considered...

I have installed a bajillion Brute force joints.. I tell everyone they are fine.. Most of the guys are in little TJ's with 33's or so.. SO its no biggie.. :smt003

The brute force joints arent that bad and you are right .. Life time warranty is the shit.. Cant say I have ever seen any of the ones I installed break either..
