Need help. The nutserts for two bolts on my crossmember have been broken and the whole shebang just spins. I have tryed prying and impact guns and nothing has worked. has anyone else delt with this? THX

cut some acess holes on the side of the rail so you can hold the nuts and get the bolts out

weld some grade 8 nuts on a plate with holes drilled in it, drill appropriate holes in the rail, and weld the new nut plate on carefully

Shouldn't need to drill any holes... Cut off the old nut with a torch or grinder, then just use a nearby hole and a piece of wire. Attach a new bolt and lock washer to the wire, and fish it though the hole. The lock washer will help so limit the spinning of the bolt when you tighten it up... even better with an impact.
