So I took out the Vic display, as it wasn't doing anything really.

I had a plastic fab shop buzz it out. I had to take measurments of the whole thing (pain in the ass) and they put the info into their CAD system and buzzed it out.

It wasnt cheap.... but nothing you want done right ever is.

That's pretty neat. In all what did it all run you if you don't mind sharing that?

The one I have right now is 1/8" aluminum. I have the plate and spacers so it sits level with the trim piece. I did it in like 10 minutes by eye so it's all crooked. haha.

I'm making a new one though, 18 guage steel, ARB switches, some rockers from Wal-mart, like $3 ea, and call it a day. Not as cool, but good enough for me haha. My switches aren't labelled, but I can remember which is what. If someone else drives my Jeep... too bad, they can guess haha. I guess I could bust out the old 80s labelmaster and make some labels

** Update 6/5/05 **

Finished wiring all the switches. Every one tagged and the connections all have heat shrink on them for a nice water tight fit.

all the switches mounted in the new panel

Now I just need to tighten up the dash and start hooking the OBA & ARB.

I got the fuse block from SeaBass44 on POR - 12voltguy.com

and the relays will depend on what things im using, most of my lgihts are Hella, so they all came with their own relays. dont need any relays with the OBA or ARB.

I had to stop, cause im got to get packed for my this comming week. work 5 long days in ....... Lake Tahoe :smt003

How come all red wire?? I made the mistake of using all yellow wire on stuff and I'm in the process of ripping it all out and using the right colors.

Is your VIC trim tweaked in those pics?

So you took the stock back part and put the plastic on top? That's a good idea. I don't have my VIC anymore, but I should have done that instead. Might go get one from a junkyard tomorrow.

Awesome - by far the nicest/cleanest install I've ever seen... So, now that you've eaten the cost of getting all of those special measurements, you're going to hook us all up your supplier, right?

Why all the red wire ? becaues I had a bunch laying around. I tagged all of them with tape, so well see.

the trim and the rest of the dash wasnt tightend down in that pic.
