Does the 46RH circulate fluid in Park? I know the 727 won't but does in neutral, and of course the 46RH is basically an updated/electronic 727....anyone know? wondering if I can stuff it in Park and let the trans cool or if I need to set the e-brake and leave her in neutral.

My understanding on most trannies is no (unless you have had your valve body drilled but stock it does not) however it does flow in neutral.

FWIW I know that the 42RE doesn't.

I don't think many trannies do. I know I was always told to put the tranny in neutral on cold winter mornings to get everything flowing.

sounds like neutral and the e-brake on the trail still then...

46RH does not circulate in park. The only thing electronic in the 46RH is the OD control. And that function can be accomplished with a few selenoids and sensor switches. 46RE is electronically controlled. Both are A518 series.

x2. you can verify this by checking fluid level in park and in neutral. not similar. check level with tran in neutral :smt003
