will a 1997 5.2 bolt right up to a 1995 zj?

also is there any aftermarket motor mounts that are availible for the 5.2?

thanks in advance! :smt017

If you have to ask, don't do it.

Harnesses and ECU have some differences.

You'll have to change a few sensors, like your IAC and your camshaft sensors. Also, the connector to your coil won't fit. All of the above are easy to swap from your old motor onto your new motor.. they all just bolt right on.

Are you sure a 97 5.2 will run off of a 95 ECU?

If the sensors are swapped and the fuel pressure regulator and injectors.

Not entirely, no. My Jeep is a 96 and I put in a 98, so the issue I had which I stated above are the only ones I am positive about. I'm not really sure of the differences between a 95 and 96, I just know the problems I personally had. Between 96 and 98 there were definitely some changed.

you'd be going from OBDI to OBDII ... Do a search at NAGCA, Jeepforum, and JU. I bet you can find your answer in one of those places.

Most likely it'll just be some sensors, your cat, and some other 'clean air' crap.

i think im just going to take the 97 and use it as a long block then i will switch out everything for the 95 parts.
