Headed up to Tellico this past weekend with a few buddies to run some easier stuff. Highlights included me breaking a lower shock mount on the ZJ, my buddy laying the FJ 40 on its side seconds before a classic Tellico downpour, and joining up with a group of Toyotas to hit the hole on trail 8 that has gotten nasty pretty hard...

Here's some pics

Fawkin sweet. My club is heading up in June to Tellico but I'm broke so I doubt I'll be in attendance. I can't wait to wheel there someday :prayer:

I hope my ZJ's still functional enough to make it to GSSE...

How about in August for GSSE? It's a perfect chance, and we're looking to have a good showing this year.

That might be more like it. I'm just really broke right now due to the motor swap and related parts. I want to at least have a decent winch, bumper, and skids before I even attempt Tellico. And maybe a locker.. and... and...

SHIT, that hole sucks now. That could be a problem after a lot of rain. Last time I was there it didnt look anything like that deep but was still very deep.
Actually, they need to fix that. That part of the trail does not need that kind of damage.

nah man, you don't need any of that shiz to have a good time at Tellico...

Stock rigs (with other more capable rigs in a group) can tackle 4 and 5 no problem, 6 with some work.

I'll run 4,5,6,8 all day long in the FZJ80 with no skids or sliders.

Two months ago I brought a buddy with a stock xterra on 31" M/T's and got him across 4 and down 6. No armor, no lockers, no lift, no nothing. That was in the rain too.

Took more rock stacking and spotting than I would have liked, but he only needed a strap once.

Tellico isn't just about sick trucks slammin themselves on Lower 2.

Get yo ass up there and have some fun.... even if you are wheeling a jeep. :finga:

BTW that is my 40 in the pics cam posted up above.

See ya on the trails. :supz:

I thought 8 was supposed to be easy for stockish rigs. That hole looks pretty frickin nasty now! IMO it needs to be graveled in a bit instead of getting torn deeper and deeper.

BTW, Nice pics Cam!
