I was on my way to work early Tues. morning when I came across a deer running across the road, well needless to say Jeep 1 deer 0.

The best thing is the TrailReady bumper did it's job, the only damage I sustained was a broken clear corner housing and the lower parking light housing.

Here are a few pix of what happened when I hit a deer with a stock bumper.

All told even to replace everything with stock parts was about $500-600.

So when all that happened I went with a heavy duty bumper, Stull grill and some other cool stuff.

Here is what happened the other morning.

I have already ordered the replacement housings off ebay for about $35 total, and it will only take about 15 minutes to fix.

once you get that thing lifted, you wont have to worry about a deer hurting the lights either, you'll just run over them :smt003

It's my secret fantasy to have something hit me so I can get a good bumper out of the deal since I can't afford crap right now. :smt042

Yea at the time I ordered an ARB, got it in installed that (still wanted a TR but they were not selling them at that time) then found a guy selling his TR up in WA. so I bought that, sold my 2 month old ARB and drove up to pick up the TR.

All in all I lost a bit in the ARB but am WAY more happy with the TR.

So, ya gonna paint a little buck silhouette on the fender just in front of the drivers door?

To be honest I am not surre there is enough room for all the dead deer.

Those must be small deer in Cali? The deer I'm used to, you wouldn't have a whole lot let of your Jeep.

With a 120-200+ lb whitetail you had still better hit the brakes, because at 70 mph that bullbar is going right up your left nostril. If you can scrub your speed off to under 40mph you might just get away with a solid hit.

You know, I've been in AK for 4 years, and I've never seen a deer. Moose, yeah seen some but not all that much compared to what I was used to. I bet out of Anchorage it would be much better.
I grew up in Maine and we have deer that would eat my Mom's plants by the house... except when hunting season opened.. bye bye deer
