Was wondering if people that have gone from short arms to long arms could tell a difference in ride quality i.e. a better ride with the long arms because of a better angle i.e. not so steep?

Ok, here's the response I wrote 2 and a half hours ago (before the damn board was shut down my mr friendly hacker):

My Jeep is at 6" on 35's and truly rides like stock. The LA's bigger arc absorb the shock elevinty billion times better than short.

That being said, don't get the cheapest LA setup you can find caue it's easy (you all know what product I'm talking about) :weedman:

I'm moving this to newb tech though, although LA's are suspension, this has been beaten to death. If it was about a particular aspect (hardcore tech) of the LA's it'd fit here better.

Ok...so what angle is a stock front control arm? Is this the same angle one with say a 4.5" lift would have with long arms? Anyone know? For say a 93-98 Grand Cherokee.

Stock they are just about level with the ground. Lifted, well they are angled... no idea how much... what's the reason to know a number anyway?

:finga: Just wait home boy. A few more weeks and my I6 will be the most beastly thing around.

Just a 'miner of information' I guess. When I get into something I like to know as much as I can about the subject/s. Thanks for the responses!

Yeah I could have gave you an angle like a month ago, but I have all the mounts cut off now.

Did my lowers today and they are 47" from joint to joint. Short arm is what 18-19"?
