Finally got the LA kit installed. Waiting on a rear locker and gears before building the 8.8 and swapping in the 231 but it's getting closer.

looks good, what springs are you running in that? looks pretty tall.
BTW I don't know how you people get away with running stock axles and gears w/ huge tires. I burned up a transmission and blew out the carrier on my D35 with 33's just on the street!

The springs are RE XJ 7.5" up front and RE XJ 4.5" in the rear. These give approx. 7" of lift. I also have 2" pucks in the rear and 2.75" up front.
I have only been driving it the past couple of days, and no offroading till I swap in my 8.8, gears, locker, and 231.
Won't be long till I have it ready to get dirty.

I was actually thinking that once I got it all in and saw how tall it sat. Just happy to be driving it again after being torn apart for the last 4 months. I am debating running 37's though.

yeah I know the feeling. I finally got a new transmission after my jeeps been sitting for about four months as well. It looks great, but I'm going to ahve to agree with everyone else and say it looks a bit tall for the tire. What are running now? like 35s? If I were you I would take the spacers out until I could afford more tire and some sawzall blades.

Way way to high.
37s will clear with 7" of lift just trim some sheet metal.

Nice rig man. I see that you're going to swap in a 231 soon so are you running the stock drive shafts now? Are you getting any vibes? Cool rig, I bet you can't wait to take it out and wheel it.
