View Full Version : NO MTRs anywhere???
Well I spent most of the day trying to buy some Good Year MTRs 315/75R16 and keep getting the same story that Good Year is retooling and they dont know when they will be availble.
So I was thinking about about the Pro Comp XTerrain as there seem to be plenty of those in town.
Has anybody tried these??

I'm glad I have my MTR's :finga:
Aren't the X-Terrain pro CRAPS directional? I hate that.

Hell of a time to re-tool, right before the peak of wheeling season.
That explains why Discount Tire doesn't have any.
I ran the Truxus with good luck before my MTR's.
What about the BFG MT's?

yup, and the plys are dirrectional too from what I've been told, so it's really bad for the tire if you run them backwards...

From another board I'm on:
I got my answer. I sent out an email to Goodyear and they just gave me this reply:

Dear Andrew, Thank you for contacting our website and for being loyal to Goodyear tires! The MT/R's are indeed on national back order
and are scheduled to be ready for distribution to the warehouses on 4/29/2005. The listed Manufacturers List Price is $264.95. We do
not have access to what the retail stores will charge. They all set their own prices.
Looks like it's gonna be a while. I'd keep calling around hoping to find a set somewhere. Apparently Summit might still have some. Give them a call.

Actually I've worked my way up to stacking parking stops up and 4Lo'ing over them
After searching every tire shop on the west coast I ended up going fo BFGs MT KM
I also heard the the employies at BFG are getting ready to strike so they may be hard to get also.

It just occurred to me that you should try Sam's club for the tires.... if you haven't already. Sometimes their stock has been there for a while or they have the last of a run of something.
Get some real tires.. MTRs suck

In Alaska, they would. On any rock / mixed trail, I'll keep my MTR's!
