I just installed viairs onboard air.I thought they were sending me one w/ a 85-110 regulator but in was a 110-150.What are the draw backs if anyn for it being higher.is that a little high for most air tools or am I OK like that.

Just use a regulator. On my OBA setup, the tank is at 150, and the regulator is at 90.

if you run your tank at a higher pressur then when you use it you will have more time before your compressor need to turn on. 90-150 is what i run and i like it.

That and it takes longer to fill to a higher PSI with crappy air compressors. That and you'll need a reg if you want to run air lockers or some air tools.

Which Viair did you get?

If you run an ARB keep it below 110 psi. ARB recommends 95 psi, but they are supposed to work from 60 - 110 psi.

I got the 400,if I was to switch to the 90-110 pressure switch then I will not need a regulator to run air tools ,correct?

Yup. The thing with that though is it won't take long at all before the compressor kicks on. I have a 2 gallon tank and the Extreme Aire compressor. Takes about 3 mins to fill it to 150psi.

a regulator only cost 10$ and it is a usfull tool. I would get one. some tools run at 75 PSI and some run at 110.
