i used one frm a air line....they hold around 150 PSI i'm sure the clamp will hold more.

Remember: rubber is more delicate than metal by nature, and gives you more points of failure.

Hell, I'd look into steel braided or some more metal, but I'm not the one doing it so have fun :weedman:

Just use steel... brake lines work just fine. Then make your connections with a short piece of rubber hose.

This is probably a stupid question, but I'm going to ask anyway....

Why are you reversing the two? I'm assuming its due to the chevy stuff you've swapped in, but I figured I'd ask.

You've got a straight 6 right? Are you just cutting out the cross pipe that goes around the oil pan or what?

"Built Jeep tuff with Chevy stuff" :finga:

just the axles are chevy the rest is jeep. i've got a 5.2 . exhaust will be from manifolds back with a turn down after the muffler.

Gotcha...

I think I'm going to get me a "Jeep Tuff" sticker `cept it will say Ford. :smt003

Saw one at Tellico last time I went, and it struck me as funny.

if you really want good info on running fuel lines, try searching some drag racing websites/bulletin boards...they deal with that shit a lot more seriously than we do. crap, most of us are happy if a coffee can mounted to the windshield frame can gravity feed an engine to get us off the trail. :D

Or that guy in TTC a couple years ago who had his spotter spraying starter fluid in the carb to finish off the course, that was freakin nuts!!

I did a solid axle swap on my buddys Exloder and he had a sticker that said ..
Built Ford tough ....With Jeep stuff...

Anyway.. Back on topic.. I used a flare tool and put a small flare on my fuel line and then used 2 hose clamps on each side.. But I am just nuts like that.. :smt003

when i repaired about 8" of my hard line....
straight cut no flare, double hose clamps with about 4-5" of rubber overlaping the metal line per side

still going strong w/no leaks

i think the line sees about 50psi

nate

46 psi to be exact :supz:
