Ol' Joint Jigger® Tube and Pipe Notcher $259.99

So obviously with most other tools, cheap = crap but between the three is it relly worth the money for a 260 dollar tubing nother? Can anybody that's had experiance with a TN shed some light on quality VS price?

Are you making a cage or something?

Are you making a cage or something?

1: new long arms... either radius arms or 4 link up front and triangulated 4 link in back (I'm shooting for almost no roll axis and like 160% anti-squat ). And I'll also be building a full belly skid out of like 1", 3/4" or 1/2" delrin or some kinda of cutting board material. At that point I'll finish my antirock setup (I'm worried that I might weld everyhing in in a way that might block my link placement.)

2: Build some new sliders out of dom (possable tube bender in the future or just use AprilzWarrior).

3: New bumpers

4: cage

Not all at once but just things down the line.

I use a cutting wheel on a grinder. Works pretty well once you get the angle down.

Because I don't like having to flat bed my shit home after a day's of wheeling... that's why I have to rebuild my shit again and again. KI don't want to buy another LA kit (well aside from rock control) so I'm building my own (and that's why I'm asking about the stupid tubing notcher).

The notching I've had to do, I just used a grinder. The notcher is nice, but unless your using pipe/tube on a day to day basis, I don't think it's worth it.

Drill press and a hole saw. That should do it.

You wanting to go with round tube? If so, why?

Square tubing is cheaper is it not? Its also easier to notch, but even with round tubing, you could notch it with a drill press / hole saw. Just need to punch a center mark and drill a small pilot hole.

last time i got steel DOM was actually cheaper than the 2x2. but generally speaking yea i think round is more expensive.

I have the first notcher you have posted. It works alright. I used it to notch the tube for my traction bar last year. Just keep the shaft sprayed down with some good lube and use good hole saws. Also be careful how you hold the drill cause if the hole saw catches the drill will spin and you could almost break your wrist. Dont ask how I know :D

I have the first one you posted also.....although I have yet to get it to fit on my drill press so that it's usable. I may have to drill some custom mounting holes for it in the table.

This one seemed nice. It was only like 197.00, from jd2. I am looking at this and the jd3 bender.
