Bought some tube doors from a guy a few weeks ago and finally got around to putting them on last night. The fit is a little off, but close enough to where I can make it work. I'll tell ya though, when it's 23* out, it's a LITTLE chilly to drive around without your freaking doors!!! I'll get some pics up once I get my lazy ass up and about today.

Taking off my doors would be pretty cool, but I'm too lazy to secure all the valuables in my Jeep. I remember the days of driving my YJ.... rain in my interior is also not something I miss :D

Damn pussy! Did you hear me complaining?

Now get your lazy ass up out of bed already. :smt003

The Toob Doors are sweet though. If you can't go topless, at least go doorless. . .

This is what happens when you give Dave too much time on his hands...

I think a Honey Do list is in order. :smt003

Looks sweet! Damn it all to hell that I have to see pics on line before I can see it in person. :smt108

So if you don't get the tail gate back on before Moab, where ya gonna mount the License plate and how ya gonna light it up?

Or you could let me weld the tailgate back on. :smt041 I vote for that idea.

If the Honey Do list involves wrenching on your Jeep when you get it you know I'm all about it!!

No clue how I might light up the plate, I was thinking I could have you hang out the back and shine a flashlight on it whenever we drive at night. :finga:

:finga: I'll give you hang out the back :finga:

I think you can be my tool bitch when it comes time to wrenching on my jeep when I get it. :butthead:

And wrenching is never on a HOney Do list..that's too much fun. Scarey shit ends up on the Honey Do list like, clean the bathrooms :toimonst: , wash the kitchen floor, clean the fridge. :smt003

Yeah I saw where you grabbed those off Ebay about a month back...

I'm going to be building a set very much like these in a month or two. They will have the same tube design (straight between the hinges, no bends really). I like the use of bushings the way yours are set up. I will need mine to be easily removable, though. Correct me if I'm wrong, but these look at least semi-permanent.

Are yours setup to recognize the stock alarm or have you since ditched all that crap/ made a switch? I was planning to make a tab to pivot with the tube doors themselves to depress the alarm pins in order to keep alarm functionality, since mine will be a DD for at least 2 more years.

They look damn good. :partyman:

They're not really too permanent. The only thing that makes it any more permanent than pulling your doors is that you have to pull the striker and get that all lined up, which is a PITA. I wanted to set them up to recognize my alarm on the door pin switch but I don't think it will work. If you look in the closeup of the a-pillar mount you can see the hole for the door pin right by the arm on the door. I haven't messed with but I don't think I could make it work. If the top tube mounted in a different position it may work though.

I still have carpet in the seating area, but pulled it from the rear cargo area. It won't be too long before it's all gone though.
