I have a friend with D30 and D35 4.10's; carrier, spiders, ring and pinion...everything that is out of a 1994 YJ. Will these fit in the front and rear of my 1994 ZJ that currently has 3.55 gearing?

Is it a direct swap of the guts basically?

Will my Lockrite locker still work or will I need another one?

Any help greatly appreciated.

as far as i know all YJ's were high pinion, so the gears wont work

the d30 carrier and locker will work

the D35 stuff should work

So the D35 is good to go.

Are there any parts of the HP 30 that will work for my LP 30?

What would be a good price for these, used of course?

Thanks again for the assistance.

like i said, the 3.73+ carrier in that HP30 will be good if your going to 4.11

your current locker will workin the new carrier

i would proably do 50 bucks tops for the D35 stuff and the D30 carrier. get NEW bearings and install kits if you plan on doing this.

If he's offering parts up off his axle you can use he axle shafts and also anything knuckle out if you need new bearings or brake parts.

Word of caution: it sounds like you want to use his old 35 gears in your 35? Setting used gears SUCKS, and IMHO is never as strong as setting new. you have to get it truly perfect (and it better have been set up correctly the first time). If you're a lil' bit off, you'll wear a new pattern and BOOM. I have the axle to prove it :tonqe:

Yeah I agree. New gears aren't too expensive anyhow.
