Hey guys, I know there are a few of you around who have a 3.5" lift and a set of 1.75" coil spacers in order to fit 33's...

My question is, is there anything else needed to add the spacers? I've got a RE Superride 3.5" lift now, and I'd like to add a little more. Am I going to run into driveshaft problems, etc?

Anyone who's dealt with this, your input is greatly appreciated!

:prayer:

well i know it is on JU for sure, since i answered it 50+ times there

i had Re 3.5+BB

you will need at least adjustable front and rear t-bars

you should also strongly condider
longer brake lines
adjustable uppers f/r

No foul, just keep in mind we created this site to get away from the day to day questions we've seen 1,000 times. The difference between the "veterans" here and those that are just starting, is that we've learned there's no black and white answers (well, except that rockcrawler and procomp both SUCK!)

At this point we all know to get under there with measuring tape and just figure out what we can, is what it comes down to. Going higher usually means the same things: possibly brake lines, control arms, adj. track bars, probable driveline problems, etc. You don't really know until you do it and find out what problems arise, then fix them.

With this methology, a DD is your friend!

make sur eyou get an alignment. I drove a bit til i did and i got DW on the highway. just something to think about.

might have to adjust your LCA's if yours are adjustable, so that your rear DS angles are right and you don't get vibes.

I also added extended lines in the front.

that's pretty much it.

Oh yeah, they may not pressure you to use the sawzall on CO4x4, but we certainly will here.

at 3.5" you can fit 33s easily. Just a little sawzall treatment up front. Out back depends on what kind of wheels you're running.

3.5" + 1.75" spacers is sort of a minimum for 35s IMO. Stay where you're at in terms of height, do a little trimming on the outside fender and a little inner fender treatment with a 5 lbs hammer and you'll be good to go. Spend your money on a new front driveshaft and axle shafts instead of the spacers and new trackbars.

Here's my jeep with around 3.5" of lift on 33x12.50s (wife is driving). You can see where I've trimmed up front for clearance.
