I wanted to take a second and update some key points for GSSW 2005, since it is right around the corner...

If you're going to be in town on Thursday night, everyone is going to be at Legend's Sports Grill in Anthem. It's just 1/2 mile East of I-17 (across the freeway from the Anthem Hampton Inn) on the South side of Anthem Drive in the shopping center there. Look for the Jeeps, come on in, get a nametag, meet everyone, oogle over the modified Grands in the parking lot, have a bite to eat and a fun time chatting with other like-minded individuals (read: only semi-insane), and get geared up for a fantastic weekend. Be there or be anti-social. map (http://yp.yahoo.com/py/ypMap.py?Pyt=Typ&tuid=19391633&ck=1153309666&tab=B 2C&tcat=8903827&city=Anthem&state=AZ&uzip=85086&co untry=us&msa=6200&cs=4&ed=LCOXGa1o2TyvronM22POJo7k u3ShwfhIsJ3GvIwYlpepFg--&stat=:pos:0:regular:regT:1:fbT:0)

Friday will be the first day of trails. We are still working out the actual trail selection for each day and it may actually have to be determined the day of the event due to weather. Meeting will be at the Table Mesa Rd meeting point at 8:30am. We will hopefully have most of the chitchat out of our systems from the meet and greet, so departure at 9-9:30am. map (http://maps.yahoo.com/maps_result?name=&ed=UctvVep_0To6.BjofbLKgEM35gSn3 r0cnE1qlUb9lJ0.ePNfj08oqfGT.mzp44nSZPjKLfHPn_0RDvn 8fubY4YkODYBNiVbD5fVuzkH.&csz=Arizona&desc=&mag=3& ds=g&state=AZ&uzip=&country=US&BFKey=&cat=trav&res ize=s&trf=0) After the day is done, dinner will be on your own.

Saturday: Second day of trails. Same meeting spot. 8:30 with departure at 9 am. Saturday night is the banquet. Meal arrangements have been made at the same restaurant as last year. map (http://maps.yahoo.com/maps_result?zoomin=yes&name=&ed=h0S2Vep_0ToirSWC1Y yX2kR12IYj07u4YA3Q74xUEoF_jTK8uuqWCIDBW223LMmTD2Ic TvVH0J5fixlzBdaYqGx.otd_8Z7hhVujK.4-&state=AZ&csz=Arizona&ds=g&uzip=&mag=2&desc=&count ry=US&dma=&cat=dine&resize=s&trf=0&rezoom=1&.intl= us&compass=&pan_x=0&pan_y=0&panable=1) Off of New River Rd. Dinner is a pre arranged package again with a choice of entrees and soft drinks included. ETOH is extra. The price is set up to include meal/drinks/tip for the benefit of the attendees and the wait staff. After dinner will be the raffle. We have a total of 15 sponsors (http://www.mallcrawlin.com/gssw/sponsors.htm) so far and it should make for a great night.

Sunday is the third and final day. Meeting again at 8:30. Shorter trails will be included and some trails are on the way out of town (ie. Sedona broken arrow).

Just a few more notes. Breakfast and lunch are on your own. Please plan on arriving at the meeting spot fueled and aired up. Some of the trails have a bit of highway to get thru. Remember, some if not all of the trails involve crossing Arizona State Land Trust property. Passage requires an Arizona SLT permit (http://www.mallcrawlin.com/gssw/permits.htm). Without a permit, you are subject to up to a $2500 fine and immediate impounding. Each driver is responsible for their own permit. All the other wheeling guidelines apply... bring water, tools, spareparts, tow strap, spare tire, etc. Please check www.mallcrawlin.com/gssw for more info on trail etiquette and trail equiptment.

I will be a the restaurant for the meet and greet about 5pm. They get busy around 6:30 so we should try to be there before that.

Saturday night starts around 6pm, but I need Hayden to confirm the actual time.

David.
