Next step is gonna be F-R swap with my 2" bb on top.. total of ~5" I guess. I'm probably gonna run 33" tires, but I can't decide if I want to stick with 10.50's or 12.50's.. Anybody got suggestions?

if you're running stock wheels i'd go with the 10.5's. 12.5's will rub like a beyotch.

My current wheeling tires are 34X10.5" SS LTB's ( they run a little wider than the average 10.5). they are on 15X7 rims with 4" BS. They stuff VERY well, my fenders aren't trimmed at all and they hardly rub. http://www.tcnj.edu/~macock2/stuff/pines/pines16.jpg

I don't know if anyone makes a 35X10.5 but i would think that it would look even more like a pizza cutter than my LTB's.

all in all, i would probably just trim and go with 12.5's. a larger footprint will help you out in most situations.

I can't think of a reason to run a 10.5 inch tire short of clearance problems. Some people say that pizza cutters are better in some offroad situations but I think that's a load of shit for the most part. If they ARE better in some situations, they're so few and far between that it's not worth worrying about anyway.

David,

Why dont you wheel the setup you have now before you decide whether or not you "need" more lift. I've been wheeling my setup right at 4" for about a year or so now and it has got me most of the places I need to go right now. Slow down your black hole a little bit, the more you put into it, the more "beater" it will become.

It'd be another few months before I could do anything anyway.

I wheel my POS every chance I get.. and I've been in a few situations where .5" would have made the difference. 2" is better than stock, but 4-5" sounds much better to me. I got a little cash im my wallet right now - which means protection is on its way.. so you'd better be ready for me up at uwharrie when she opens 8)

Less rolling resistance.

I know this is an old thread... but do you have photos of this ZJ on flat ground with the 34" LTB's? I'm thinking about them for my ZJ, but wondering what they look like overall....

Thanks in advance!!

I think you will find out that this really isnt the site to be resurrecting 2 year old threads and asking what tires look the best. Just warning you.

I ran LTB's 34x10.5x15's for a while, they always looked the same to me, no matter how much articulation. ;)

If your goal is to run them on "flat ground", a BFG AT might be what you want. They come in a 33x10.5x15 :drinkers:
