OK, so Maine sucks for inspections of ABS equipted rigs...
Gonna swap out the 249 for a 231 shortly. I know someone who can make clocking rings at a decent price.
With 3" lift, would clocking the xfercase up some- would that create too much of a problem with the front driveshaft?
Thinking if I can clock it some, I can make a near flat belly skid.

At 3", if you ran a dual cardigan (sp?) shaft, you should be fine... a clocked 231 would be cool

i don' think the 231 would be able to be clocked that much. there is only about 3/4" between the 231 and my floor boards.
