Wifes ZJ been running like a turd for a few weeks. Died at a light and got towed home. Fuel pump is 3 months old, been running rough, idle all over the place, typically high, dies at stoplights. IAC replaced tonight, CPS? No codes come up on it. Any ideas?

Pull out the Air Charge Temp sensor.. It makes the engine think its cold and it floods out..

It is right here..

If its real dirty change it.. IF you buy the part for a dodge truck with a 5.2 its much cheaper... (Dont ask me why ...)

My truck would not idle and when that part went out..

And appearently I'm the only person who moderates when Dave's not around... And I'm not even a moderator!

CPS is a bitch to change. At one point mine was dying at stop lights, on the freeway, it sucked. I replaced all of the above and the problem was the ECU. Bought a performance ECU and no issues since.

I have it in the shop after wasting time on trying to swap a CPS. It would only turn over and not even try to start. So now could it be a bad Air Charge Temp Sensor that's flooded the crap out of it? Would a bad ACT sensor kill the motor/cause it not to start? Hmm..and I could not get any codes to pull up on it. Thanks Swamp Boy for the pic and the idea on that. Time to hook this up to code reader and find what's buggered.

It kept mine from running.. I was on my way to Jeep Jamboree last year when my rig just stalled and left me on side of the rode..
Luckily I was within walking distance of an Autozone..
I change the TPS and the CPS and the IAC and was in the process or removing the ECU when I noticed that sensor.. I pulled it out and it was crudded all up.. The new part cost me $19.99 and the engine started right up.. Ran like a charm..

Of course by that time It was 4PM and I had spent $250 dollars and missed the entire first day.. :?

My similar problem last summer was a good old fashined intermittent ignition coil. I suspected the new-fangled computer related sensors and controls too.

Only 3 months should be under warranty...

Did you try to run a wire straight to the pump to make sure it wasnt the relay???

The mechanic check it for me. Thank goodness it was still under warranty. I'm still going to check that sensor that you suggested.
