not a ZJ, but on my XJ

hood vents are off a lebaron turbo which were primed painted and clear coated by rattle can

i cut out the holes with a jigsaw with the hood removed

they are held inplace with angled aluminum

What about heavy rains and snow. That looks great, but is it just another moisture inlet?

well snow should not be too much of a problem in LA

i dont think rain will be that much of a problem, but i will be making some sort of sheetmetal gutters to divert water away from the TB and the distributor

Out of curiousity, why not just put hood scoops on?

well i think scoops would have looked too ricey and would have been more expensive

this looks alot more low key, almost like it could have been stock

Has anyone noted lower underhood temps with the vents? Don't forgrt, you can put some fender vents in there like the T/A's had!!! Whoa.... can't believe I just said that (the T/A thing). Uh-oh, I think I just spit up a little in my mouth.... Hood vents good. Fender vents bad... I hear they cause mullets.

My under hood temps have dropped 35 degrees.. That is tested with my Fluke test meter.. I ran the engine up to temp.. Under hood was 270* after I vented the under hood temp was 235* That was tested with the probe sitting next to the air box...Both times...

My actual engine temps are down to 190ish... From the normal 210..
