In the mornings the engine has to turn over at least 10 times before it will start and when it does it seems violent like it has too much fuel in the cylinders. The rest of the time it starts fine but it seems to idle excessivly rough. What do you think?

When the air temperature is cold or the engine is cold?

when the engine is cold, regardless of outside temp

Mine's been doing the same thing lately. When it does start, it's kind of a bang and it gets going. I don't know exactly what's causing it, but I'm gonna dig into it and try a few things tomorrow. If I get it fixed I'll let you know what it was.

ive had an idea tha it is a timing problem but not for sure. sometimes if i try to start it and it doesnt i will emmediatly try again and it acts like its got too much timing, you know straining the starter and such ? its really wierd

... fuel pump? Ignition, IAC, TPS, etc etc... All kinds of fun stuff to check.

sounds like either timing or pressure bleeding off out of the rails... check the timing and let us know.
