View Full Version : Delayed Idle Issue

Start the Jeep up in the morning, idles normally. I get about 5-10 mins down the road and stop at a light and it randomly revs about 2-300 rpm higher, kinda like if you were feathering the gas as if to race the guy next to you. It stops doing this maybe another 5 mins or so down the road. Any ideas? This is on a 93 4.0
TIA

Bueller?
I'm just asking here 'cause it seems like it could be sensor related and I'm not sure which sensor (if any) failing would cause this.

TPS, IAC would be my bet.

I'll check those, thanks
Mines been doing this same thing for quite a while. Cleaned out my IAC and pretty much the whole dam TB. Didn't go away. Recently I pulled some engine codes and they point to my o2 sensor ... Haven't gotten around to buying a new one or anything ... but you might wanna check that too, it could be the culprit!

edit: I have a 5.2 so it could be completely unrelated?
