I work for an automotive retailer and I have come across an 02 WJ Limited with a V8 and a 242 factory setup! So here is what I'm thinking.... I have not taken a tape measure to everything yet, but just eyeballing the control arms and springs it seems that my 3.5" superflex stuff might just work. I know the rear upper is different and would probably need a spacer and I would probably also need an adjustable trackbar. Anyone try this and know if it works, or any potential problems with this sort of swap??

First of all, welcome.

Second of all, thank you for posting this in newbie tech (the correct forum!) - BONUS POINT!

But now that's that out of the way....

I had trouble figuring out what the hell you're trying to talk about, but I THINK that you're talking about using a ZJ lift kit on a WJ? In that case, you might want to get under there were that measuring tape again!

Very few parts will work. Especially springs.

And now for a few pictures that, I'm sorry, I just can't HELP MYSELF from posting!

All I can say is I know, I know, I know- maybe I should lay off the sauce when thinking of 'creative' ideas. Thanks for setting me straight.

It's ok, I was bored, and you provided me with some much needed entertainment for a few minutes ;)

Well now that you have been initiated I will answer you questions as closely as I can with my limited true understanding of your question.

The front RE adjustable arms from the ZJ will likely fit on the WJ. The lower rears will not because they are too short. The springs will not fit either. You might be able to re-use the shocks on the rear and perhaps the front if you use BPE's etc. Not sure without knowing more about what is on the ZJ currently.

For the most part ZJ and WJ parts are not interchangable with the excpetion of a few items.

Good Luck

I also forgot that the sig I use on other forums is not on this one- 96 ZJ limited, 4.0, running a 3.5" superflex with Bilsteins, BPEs, front adjustable uppers, and 32" BFG mud terrains, so your assumptions were correct- thanks again.

I really am not the noob I portrayed myself as in the first post!
Just had a momentary lapse of all thought process.
