Blew a tire out last weekend coming home while hauling about a half a cord of wood. Always wondered what it would be like to blow a rear with a fair amount of weight on it. The truck responded well... I made it off to the side of the road OK and the aluminum rim is OK for the most part. Earlier that day we hauled a bed full of bricks to the dump. I can't tell if I picked up some trash (read nails) at the dump or if the tire just decided to fail. I doubt I overloaded the load range on the tire.
