Supposedly these have a 3.5" bore and are a bolt in replacement for YJ/TJ steering boxes. Is this true? Anyone know how it would work in a ZJ? I can't recall whether or not YJ/TJ boxes and XJ/ZJ boxes are interchangeable...

Hmm... Didn't know it was only a 3 bolt box. I guess it's between whether you're looking for a bigger bore (3.5" with the Durango box) or 4 bolts with a J10/Waggy box. This is assuming J20 boxes are largely unavailable, because I've searched, and they are.
And now for the stupid question: Does a larger bore increase the strength of the box itself, or does it just allow for easier turning, or both?

I dont know but with Hydrolic assist its gotta help to have a bigger bore..
After the cage .. I am going hydro.. This may be a good way to do it without killing my stock box.. :)

well the TJ and waggy boxes are interchangeable, and the tj / durango boxes are interchangeable
Does anybody know if anhy of the other older Mopar boxes will bolt on? I could swear I've seen this type of box before. Specifically, 70's-80's FS Dodges of all types 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton, and more. Or is it just a different models that look alike. I think my 80's 5th aves. and 70's (cough, Aspen), and 70's Newport had the same kind of box. And that Newport had alot of beefy parts on it.
