I picked up a used pair of RE rear UCA's back in the summer and am just now getting ready to install them. Problem is they're a couple of inches too long. I need around 14.5" eye-to-eye and these are 16" when fully collapsed.
Supposedly they came off a ZJ and I'm certain they're uppers.
What gives? I called RE which about was useful as tits on a boar hog.
If I cut them down and sleeve, what should I use. DOM?
Thanks for any help.

Go to the RE website and try to match what you got to what's there. you'll see the tubing is welded to the joints at different heights.
Why do you need adjustable uppers? Sounds like the RE's you have are for a lifted Grand and your's is stock'ish height.

aren't stocker uppers like 15.5" long?

Not on mine. I dug out the stockers and they're 13.25"!
This is on a 97 5.2 Laredo with a 249 tc. I just added a set of Anthony's 1.5" spacers on top of my RE 4.5" springs cause they're starting to sag a bit. I think I'm at 6" but I haven't really measured.

all four lowers on mine are at 17 1/2
front uppers are 16 1/2
rear uppers are 14 1/2
Hope that helps
