View Full Version : What's the part # for a drivers side front CV joint?

I didn't look at it all too closely today when I pulled the inner shaft on the driverside to get to work, but the inner shaft looked like it was in good shape, and I'm assuming that the outer shaft is bolted to the CV joint or the ball and cage slides into the cup of sorts on the outer? or are they one piece?

I went to NAPA to order a new CV joint, but the parts guy said he could only get replacement shafts or a boot kit. I think he was confused though and he's thinking of CV shafts for an IFS application. Anyway, are the joints replacable w/o getting a new shaft? If so, what's the part # so I can just give them that and get my order right?

Thanks,
Rob

just picked up the part, it's the right one. The one he looked up earlier was the front driveshaft
