Ran across this in one of the mags, but wondering if anyone has actually used it to cut steel. I'm sure its the same idea as the newer chop saws with a real cutting blade in lieu of an abrasive disk. Those kick ass. I borrowed one from a buddy for my YJ project, fast and clean. Just watch the flying hot flakes of steel.

Yeah, I saw the ads too, and was curious. It has to work better than a cutoff wheel on a SkilSaw!

I asked the guys at Sears about it and told them I'd be using it for 3/16" and 1/4" , they looked at me and just said: "uh,..no"

if your into that i would look into a metal devil. we bought one at work. you can cut throught 1/2" like a skil saw through a 2x4 with NO sparks. its nuts. expensive but nuts.
