Ran up to Bill Moore Lake yesterday with Colorado 5.9 and JeepBeyotch from PBB. Beautiful weahter up there, but the bugs were out in force up by the lake. Trail was pretty easy as usual, nobody had any carnage really although JeepBeyotch's disco's were being a PITA. I didn't have time to resize any of the pics before coming into work this morning, so for now, SEVERE DIALUP WARNING.

lake at the end of the trail, greenest I've ever seen it (http://www.mallcrawlin.com/wheelinpics/Bill%20Moore%20Lake%20Jul11_04/Bill%20Moore%20Lake%20071104%20004.jpg)

Scott found a new friend (http://www.mallcrawlin.com/wheelinpics/Bill%20Moore%20Lake%20Jul11_04/Bill%20Moore%20Lake%20071104%20010.jpg)

When I get home from work I'll resize the pics and put them in the thread for a little easier viewing.

Scott, did your little buddy bite you or something? Only 33 pics? Are you feeling OK?

lol, no he didn't bite me. Those beetles were all over up there. I did seem to be a magnet though. Had one fly up on my leg at the gas station at Downiville, then another one at Burger King. Then, when we were at the lake there were about 3 that came around. Had on land on my head.

I never take that many pics doing Bill Moore. I guess there aren't that many obsticals to get out & take pics so I thought I'd take photos of other things.

I am not really into mud but what does the mud pit look like this year? It was getty pretty messed up last fall.

It's there still but it was blocked off by a few LARGE trees. There are a few photos of it in the link to the pics I posted. Page 2

Keith,
It is BLATANTLY obvious that it's off-limits. MHJC did a pretty good job up there. I think some sort of sign at the end of the trail maybe telling the story of that cabin and a few tread lightly statements thrown in would be quite helpful though.

Dave

Up late again I see. Glad to hear about the barricade. I think it will reduce the rif raf on BML. I like a muddy trail now and then, but mud pits like that one seem to bring out the wrong crowd on the trails. We need to find a field somewhere for the mud crowd.

Did you see any Pinzgauers in the lake? J/K

Me up late? Never!! :D I was working on my buddy's CJ until about midnight. Major PITA. Then I figured, hell, I'm already dirty, so I climbed under mine to tighten up some bolts and try to determine how bad my rear UCA bushings really are. The axle end of the driver side UCA is SHOT. It moves around about 3/8" without any force at all. The others looked halfway decent though. I guess I gotta get to replacing that, but I might just get adjustable uppers so I can dial in my pinion angle better. I'm thinking 4.5" on short arms with 35's would be a pretty sweet setup and then just get the LA's when I have the cash.

Dave you sally,
You didnt tell them that we lost the "battle of the brakes" to the CJ after 5 hour of wrenching.
Serriously though, I rather cut my leg off than do drum brakes on the CJ.
So after 5 hrs of wrenching and another day at pep boys, and 250.00 later Ill be ready for twin cone on sunday.
