Just got my PRP Seats/DJ Safety two ply nylon limit straps installed that I got from Scott at Rock Buggy Supply. VERY NICE pieces and 12 bucks a pop a better quiter alternative to chain link limit straps. Not hardcore enough :flipoff:

I am running Superlift Limiting straps on my POS.. They have a huge selection in lengths...

From 13.25"-29.5"

thats nice how they bolt right to the shock. Definitly will pull more life out of them....unlike my front shocks that didn't last more than 6 months

how do you like your MX-6's?

They are okay. I can say I am not overly impressed for such an expensive shock. I destroyed the rears after one trip in moab after gsw. So kevin is getting me new ones on a warranty exchange and I will be running the straps to prevent from pulling them apart.

This Ain't Ghetto......Well maybe it is but it works good and is adjustable. Are your straps adjustable?

Basically I though about welding on some tabs to the unibody, and using the sway bar tabs axle side. They have to be easy to remove, because I want to be able to pull them when I get to the hard obsticles. It's just that 90% of the time I don't need 1/2 the flex it's got and I feel like it's too much stress on the ZJ too often. Would cables jerk too bad? I know alaska has a chain, but thats in the center for hill climbs.

I am moving that here for Trance. He apparently thinks that 2 limit strap threads on the same page is good to go....I don't.

Trancy- Cables do not jerk any more than chains or straps. I have see them many times.

Why moke them removable? Personally I think you should set up the bumpstops and limit straps and leve them there.

It is not to hard on your rig to let the suspension work. Keep the limit straps to just shy of any potential problems (Shocks, Driveline bind, Driveline seperation, Suspension bind) and you will be much happier.

Usable Articulation is a lot better than just looking cool with a shitload of movement that is not usable.

One thing to think about with straps is will they stretch over time. I have heard from a sand rail builder (Chad: Tom Wilson) that straps eventually wear out and lengthen.

The best limiting strap I have found is made by Pro Comp and are called the "ES 9000". When these straps break they are warranty replacement...for life. Only problem is they are kinda spendy $35 each.

To shorten them all I have to do is put a twist in them. That is how they really can be adjusted. :D Kevin, that floor jack look familiar? That HF jack only needed oil.
