I've found detailed write ups on how-to and that type of thing, but I'd like to know personal opinions on which equipment you've like, broke, loved, hated, whatever. What can I live with-out for now, which dies to start with..... It's only a matter of time until it's a full on buggy. Gunna make those winter trips a cold bitch though.

Keep talking shit...

I have the Protools 105hd. 1.75 die with a 6" radius. Don't get any die that is under 240 degree's Trust me it is worth the extra couple bucks now. You will get a 180 dies and need to make a 181 degree bend the first week you have it. Trust me on that one.

I used a JD^2 bender in Alaska.

The Protools is better in every single catagory.

Dies are better. Bending arms are thicker. Degree wheel is actually usable. Plus it is cheaper.

They are in florida if I remember correctly so maybe you can take a trip down there and save you the 11 million dollars it cost's to ship that heavy bitch.

Love the Pro Tools that we have at school. If you have air, I suggest looking into making it a hydro as well.

Pro Tools, Pro Tools, Pro Tools.

We use a standard 105. With a 2 inch 6 inch radius or a 1.5 5 inch radius both 240 degree dies. Polish the follower and bend away.

can you guys show a pic or two of the benders? It would be nice to compare side by side,( if anyone shows up with a jd2.)

how do you have it mounted, concrete anchors? did you make your own stand? how much room do you need for swing next to a wall?

My friend's Pro Tools on a home built stand, fastened with 99 cent 1/2 by 13tpi drop in cement anchors:

so it looks like you need to put it smack in the middle of a 1 car garage to have room to work.

should be fun in the winter, with the jeep out in the yard.

That is why I mounted mine to that reciever gadget. I set it in the corner 99% of the time (because you only use a bender for about 1% of your fab time) and when I need to make a few bends I just chock it up in the reciever of any vehicle with a 2" reciever......
