Those usually end up being a bit heavy for ZJ on the trail, but can still be fun!

yeah wont be a trail rig. Need something for wood, crushed stone, ATV and crap like that. Plan on extending 12" on front and 18-20 off the rear

Nice find, especially for free! Ive been going back and forth with a guy on a m416 he has. Ive been wanting it for camping/expedition wheeling, but I keep telling myself that money would be better spent on claytons.

M416's have skyrocketed in price since I got mine. Mine was in similar shape to this one and I paid $350 for it: http://cosprings.craigslist.org/cto/3443621469.html

If you can find one in relatively good shape for under $1,000 I'd jump on it. Clayton's was the best thing I ever did to my Jeep, but they're staying pretty level on price where the M416 is only going to get harder to find and more expensive.

Yeah thats what the devil on my shoulder is telling me. Claytons I can get anytime, but this trailer may be a one time deal.

asking 1275. Bedlined the bed, working brakes (including park) working lights, new wheels, used tires, custom built top etc...

Nice. I'm, glad to see theres some type of following on these trailers. I'm wondering if the old military tires on there are usable for the highway....any input on this

If you are asking to run the original tires that are on now, I wouldnt recommend highway use (that may be obvious). If you are asking to run similar new military tires, I think they have a top speed of 55mph. But I think that coker makes tires that look period correct, but are capable of safe highway use. That me be the route to go.

So whos watchin. I got the trailer in the garage and started to figure out my plans to remove and redesign the replacement receiver bars and receiver unit. Fired up the compressor and the sawzall and started cutting the old garbage off

Once the old garbage was off, i swept up the floor. cant stand a dirty area when working.

i bet you would

^^^^^ LMAO. I would have preferred the "PINTLE" but would be more universal for any vehicle using a 2" receiver ball unit. I'll at leat try to get all the new metal sealer primed and painted this week and next to get the lighting hooked up. I will swap over the military ID tags onto the new receiver bars. May be easier to register that way

ok, just a tad of info here. I found out this is not an M101 trailer. This unit was used for mobile inflatable hospital. Wicked cool. Carried a generator and portable hospital. i can't locate the model trailer though. Still researching.........

Things have gotten tight financially over here and I'm willing to part ways with this awesome project. I'm looking to get $400.00 and is very much worth it. Gonna post to sale items too I think
