Better hurry Trey or I'm gonna steal your camping spots. Maybe the forum is just slow these days but if that's not it then it's gonna be s SMALL GSSE this year.

Awesome Brian maybe well get to do some wheeling this time and not just BS in the parking lot haha. We are planning on bringing a few rigs up. I did not register for the event as I am broke as a joke and all my money will be going to gas but I will be there! Will most likely be getting one of the black mountain cabins if they are still available

Name: Ronnie
ETA: Friday afternoon
Rig: 98 ZJ
Tires: 35s
Trails: Moderate/Hard

As of now from my club I've got another YJ on 36s, two yotas on 35s and possibly a few other guys who are wishy washy at the moment.

I am old and fat, and I spent enough years in Boone with no A/C so now it is a must! :D

We interrupt this thread for a quick announcement.

We have decided not to arrange the BBQ dinner this year due to very limited demand. It isn't near as good as Lou's but the dairy hut has a bbq sandwich on their menu. We are happy to report that the wheeling and merrymaking remain scheduled. Refunds have been issued to those who "registered" for the bbq.

Bring on the boo's :smt037

now back to your regularly scheduled programming...

So far it looks like we're camping. It's a hell of a lot cheaper and I couldn't get most of my group to commit to actually going this year. If there's a monsoon coming I may change my mind though.

That forecast looks beautiful man. Today it was 89* at like 7:00am. Why can't 80* be the hi all the time instead of 180*? My SuperDuty is still in rebuild the motor mode. Was supposed to be done today. Looks like I'll be picking it up a day before the trip :(

I'm out again this year. I've got all the parts, but it's way to damn hot down here to be wrenching on anything! Over 100 for the last 5-6 days. I have been busy building my girlfriends SAS Toyota axled Geo tracker for the last year or so, and She wheeled it the other day and I still have some issues to fix on it. I did tell her that I was going to correct the issues wrong with it, and mine goes in the shop until it's in the dirt again. I have to admit, I have had more fun in the passengers seat laughing at her driving than I've had in a while. With the right parts, these are pretty damn capable. She drives it like it's a rock bouncer with all 90hp bouncing off the rev limiter. Haha. A few more mods to the weak links in her rig and I have fullfilled my promise, then the mad scientist gets back to work on his greatest creation.....................Bwuuuuuhahahahahaha!! !

Have fun guys and hopefully I'll be in for the winter ride!

I saw Tim and Barry trailering their F150s down I40 right before 52 in Winston on Thursday. Can't wait to hear the stories about the weekend.
