issues connecting to the site?

Anybody else having them or is it just me? Since yesterday I've been having issues, maybe 20% of the time I can't connect.

Not one from here, monitoring server has it checked in every 30 seconds from Pittsburgh, but I have had some reports from other area's having issues once in awhile from other area's to the same server, there might be a trunk down somewhere.

I think I figured out what Dave was seeing. The MySQL server is getting ticked with everyone making their own connectiosn to the database when they log in, I'll make some changes that should fix it...

Haha. It explains why the site shows up as never going offline, but isn't accessible once in awhile. The site is loading (and so counting as "up" and responding) but since the database server is pissed off, its not actually showing the data, which on a VB site is everything.

That would probably be consistent with the problems I was having last night. I was using the MySQL dumper to try and get a backup of the site and the download would time out at the same time as the server would appear to go offline.
