I'm also bringing a good friend of mine with a incredibly capable Geo Tracker (I'm serious). He's on 35's, locked F&R (toy axles), and he will push the envelope. :smt003 He's running a Sami 6.5:1 case and this thing crawls awesome, and on the good side, you only need one person to flip it back over if he flops.;-) That makes it recovery easy.

you will gauge the crap out of your passenger side roofline and bust out your drivers rear glass about 30 yards later.. as kimjong il would say "its inevitable"

i had to be extracted from lions den once so i can't talk to much shit, if you don't stick the right line you will get your rig back in pieces..

im looking forward to wheelin with you guys up there..

Sir Fuego (Jared) is on 35's as is Indy242003's friend Lee. Although I'm guessing that neither of them care about body damage too much. Scott from Knoxville is on 35's (he was at Windrock anyway) and his ZJ is a full body rig.

BigClay
06-30-2010, 10:06 PM
Yeah, I am still full body, so I am wanting to keep it that way for a while :D

I'll post up for the Fayetteville, NC crowd:

Sean (buttface20x6)'s zj is no where near ready, since we're in the middle of a complete rebuild (rear steer D70, full hydro, etc) so if he comes he'll be my passenger

I should be there unless something changes between now and then in my 78 F150 on tons, 42 TSLs, ARB front, spooled rear, and a winch, but now I'm sporting a 108" wheelbase and GM TBI. Still no cage though so I may not do anything really crazy yet.

Jon should be there in the zuk buggy again too. Hes on tons now (so hopefully we wont have all the axle breaking issues like last time with him) with 42" Iroks, ARB front and spooled rear. He may have a winch before we get there.

BigClay
07-15-2010, 10:44 PM
*sigh* so I am still the least built rig on the smallest tires :shake:

SirFuego
07-15-2010, 10:52 PM
Well...my rig is still basically like every other HP30/8.8 ZJ on 35s -- just with a lot less sheetmetal. You have a D44 front, IIRC, so I guess you are technically more built than I am!

BigClay
07-15-2010, 11:06 PM
LOL, I also have all that pesky sheet metal still in tact :)

your not the only one with a full body and 35's , im bringing my zj on 35's, and ben is bringing both of his cherokees, one on 35's and one on 33's, so we should have a good group of " medium" built rigs

Yeah I plan on being there, 33s with just the factory LSD in the rear. Gonna be a throttlefest :D. If Casey can get out of his internship early enough hes gonna come down so well have another ZJ on 35s. We should have a good mild/medium group.

Are there good places to watch some of you guys on 40+ tires tackle some of the hardest trails?

Are there good places to watch some of you guys on 40+ tires tackle some of the hardest trails?

pony hill is probably the hardest trail at harlan and I doubt any of us will hit it.

top of little jagger is a great spot to watch, and lions den is a hike but any rig can get to the entrance. most trails are accessible to most rigs, but some are closer to the main access roads than others...

I was thinking that maybe we could all meet up at lions den say late in the day friday, maybe at 5 or 6 and those that want to run it can (when there is lots of support there) and those that are apprehensive about it can watch others run it and make an educated decision because once you drop in, there isn't any turning back..

BigClay
07-26-2010, 01:12 PM
I really want to watch Lion's Den, so I am all up for meeting somewhere near there on Friday afternoon. I am not going to attempt it, but certainly want to watch.
