I've seen it posted on a few boards, but didn't see it posted here:

The link for the free wear gauge is on the right column. It's nothing to get too excited about, but free is free and it's actually pretty damn handy to have in the toolbox.

Like I said - nothing to get excited about, but it does come in handy. Buddy of mine kept insisting that the belt on his car wasn't the problem of belt squeak and battery not charging. He'd replaced the tensioner and an idler, but the problem kept persisting. Even before I got the indicator I said replace the damn belt. According to the gauge, it was way past worn out, but there wasn't any cracks in it at all. He spent $80 to fix a $12 problem.
