I have called and spoke to the manager of the Sedona Super 8, named Roberta. She has put on their board a 10 percent discount for the "Grand Slam Southwest Group". The hotel is the Sedona Super 8. It is located at 2545 W. Hwy 89a, Sedona, AZ. Not too far from the meeting location Safeway.

Nice location and newer hotel. http://www.super8.com/Super8/control/Booking/check_avail?areaCode=28D9&brandCode=SE,RA,HJ,TL,DI,KG,BU,BH,MT&searchWithinMiles=50&areaType=1&destination=Sedona&state=AZ&country=US&checkInDate=07/25&numberAdults=1&numberRooms=1&checkOutDate=07/26&numberChildren=0&numberBigChildren=0&rate=000&useWRPoints=false&variant=&id=08899&propBrandId=SE&force_nostay=false&tab=tab1

Nice job on the hotel discount, Chad. Do you have a count of who's staying at the hotel and who's camping yet? I'd like to stay where the majority is staying...I'm up for whichever. Last year we camped and had a great time, but I'm not against a room either.

No sorry. No counts really this year. I myself will be camping.

Thanks for setting that up, Chad. Sandy & I had already made our reservations at the La Vista Motel again. Scott has stayed there in the past, as have others. Not fancy, but not bad, either.

So I take it they did not suffer any damage from the flood?

Scott, I didn't hear about a flood, but they mailed my confirmation several weeks ago. Guess I'd better give them a call today and find out. Thanks for the heads-up!

Yea, I was pretty devistating for the shops down below where we've had the banquets. I figured the La Vista was OK because it's a good distance from the creek but ya never know. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eX9Oo1L_vQI

I most likely won't be coming down this year. I'm istalling the SC as soon as the weather get's beter here in the next day or so. I don't want to be going very far from home with the jeep until I know everything is going to be OK with it so soon after the install.

I just called to make sure I'm confirmed because I never got a letter and they are open and expecting us.

Damn, that was bad! Sorry you're not gonna make it this year, Scott.

I didn't get a chance to call them today, so glad you checked it out, Sandy.
